There has been an improvement in the performance of the Big 4 from last years figures. Global revenues in the big 4 returned to moderate growth in 2010.
Combined revenues in 2010 rose by 1.4% in the four firms, with advisory revenues growing by 6%, audit revenues remaining unchanged and tax revenues dropping by 6%, found the 2010 big four firms financial performance analysis.
The year of 2010 also saw Deloitte beat PwC by a margin of only $9 million to take first place and become the largest financial firm on the planet.
Overall, it has been a good recovery from a rough year in 2009 and by global economic improvement a much better year for all the big four accounting firms.
